The first thing you will want to try is a reset. Press and hold the “Sleep“/”Wake“/”Power” button and the “Home” button simultaneously for about 15 seconds. The iPad should then show the Apple logo and restart. Barring any major issues, your data on the iPad should be preserved.

1. Try doing a hard reset of your iPad. Hold the sleep/wake and power buttons for 10 seconds until you get the Apple logo
2. Attempt “Recovery Mode”. With the iPad powered off, hold the home button and connect a USB cable from your Mac with iTunes. Keep holding the home button until the Apple Logo appears
