Nowadays, smartphone has been a huge part of your life. We use it to keep in contact with our friends, play fun games, watch videos. Children seem to get hooked on apps that deliver little but frustration. Parents are increasingly concerned about the damage being done to children by spending too much time looking at screens.
Luckily, Apple finally did its part to do something about it. In this case it’s Screen Time, a new feature on iOS 12 that tells you how long you’ve been using certain apps on your iPhone or iPad at its simplest, and which lets parents place numerous limits on app usage for kids at its most complex.
Simple Steps to use Screen Time on iOS 12 to cut down on your children\’s phone use:
- Open the Settings app on the iPhone or iPad and go to Screen Time. Also, the app will ask you if the device you’re holding is your phone or that of your child’s. If you’re setting up your child’s phone, you’ll have the option to set up the various restrictions immediately.
- Choose App Limits and select Add Limit under the App Limits section.
- From the list of categories available, choose the one you want to set a limit for For example, Locate and tap on Entertainment so that it is selected, then tap on Next. Set your timer, and hit Add.
